Anita and Spider Barbour, two distinguished naturalists who live in Saugerties, have written “Nature Walk” articles for Woodstock Times since the seventies. Their book, Wild Flora of the Northeast, was published by The OverlookPress. A recent expedition by the intrepid pair surveyed how climate change is affecting the plants and animals of our region. Some species or groups have coped successfully, while others have been caught off guard.
